Pinellas County Commissioner, Norm Roche, was the only dissenting vote. The other six commissioners who voted for water fluoridation have refused to reconsider their decision or to give We, The People, the chance to vote. We think that is arbitrary and irresponsible. We believe that you should have a say in the matter. That is the reason we have formed a Political Action Committee, Citizens for Safe Water, and we are working hard to: 1. Retain an attorney to motion the courts for injunctive relief (file an injunction) to prevent the addition of hydrofluorosilic acid that is set to start March 1, 2013; 2. Stop commissioners from continuing to add fluoride until the public has a chance to vote on it; 3. Petition for referenda to be introduced on the ballot and be put to the popular vote; 4. Amend the County Charter to prevent this happening again without a public vote.
